Ice Fields of Lether

This is my piece of environment art for Midnight Tides, book 5 of the Malazan Book of the Fallen. We're halfway there (series is 10 books long), and it's too late to stop now!

I'm quite proud of this one, I got to finally make use of some old cedar scans I took, and I think these trees are some of my best ones so far

The environment itself has quite a few little details that came about almost accidentally (shoutout KTT), which is always a delight to discover as you're working on a piece, so that was quite fun. Additionally getting to play around with snow & glaciers was rather fun. I definitely could have done a better job with said glacier, but alas I don't have much more steam in me with this one. Nevertheless I quite enjoy how this one turned out.
